    3. A good test of PAF child-parent and spouse relationships is a GEDCOM transfer to a second genealogy program followed by a GEDCOM transfer back to the original program used for data entry. Compare descendant reports before and after the GEDCOM round trip. If the second program uses "direct import" or Genbridge for PAF files, the results may be slightly different than the PAF GEDCOM import. Current versions of genealogy programs may be different than those as old as PAF 5 released Dec 2000 and last updated July 2002, I'm guessing those dates from some archived messages. -- Elizabeth ----- Original Message ----- > While I do not doubt people's experiences with problems, I personally > combine files from PAF 5.2, FTM, Legacy, etc. all the time.
