I find there to be plenty of room on the screen -- especially in the Children area of the Family View. So much so, that I wondered if I was missing an opportunity to add useful information to that space. > While the Parent Link is not often used, I absolutely would NOT > be willing to give it up for the death date. And I absolutely would. To each his own. Respectfully, the PAF software provides a great deal of flexibility to allow each of us to record the many and varied events and relationships which occur in the human family. I only wanted to know if it was capable of making this aspect of my hobby a little easier. > And, just incidentally, you can modify the Individual view to include the > Death date & Place. Yes, I've also added the death date to the Individual View -- and found it to be extremely useful. My individual families tend to be very large and draw from a small pool of given names. In one extreme instance, I have eight people with identical names within three generations -- only two for which I have both birth and death dates.
