It has a function that will help you to eliminate the duplicates without losing any data. It also has a function that will allow you to see what unconnected pedigrees are floating around in your file so you can see where to get them reconnected (assuming that they should be part of your main pedigree) or eliminated (assuming you do not think they actually fit anywhere or you can't determine where they should be connected). There are help files in the program to tell you how to use it and they have a FAQ section to answer question on their website. It will be the best $20 you ever spent. Alan
