Exporting the whole database and re-importing it is the ONLY way to clear these errors. On re-import, just make sure you DON'T click REUSE DELETED NUMBERS otherwise your RIN's will change. ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP FIRST, JUST IN CASE !!!!!!! Andrew -----Original Message----- From: Kathy Campbell [mailto:katgcamp@bellsouth.net] Sent: 08 October 2005 13:25 To: PAF-5-USERS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PAF-5] Error Messages I ran a backup on my data this morning. It said I had one error, so I ran check/fix, and it was a pointer problem. After it fixed that problem, I ran check/fix again; it found another pointer problem, fixed that, and ran it again, and it's still finding pointer problems. Why isn't it cleaning all the problems at one time? What is the best way to avoid all the problems. Should I gedcom out to get a *hopefully* clean copy? Thanks.
