Your problem may be that the default printer for your computer is set to a PDF driver rather than a regular printer. And if the PDF driver has been uninstalled, that may cause a problem for the PAF preview function. As inconvenient as it is, PAF needs a good connected printer before it will preview a printout. Go to Start, Control Panel, Printers and Faxes. See which printer has the check mark by it. That is your default printer. It that is not a regular printer, find one that is currently connected to your computer and right click on it and choose "Set as Default Printer". Your preview should then work ok. I has nothing to do with Acrobat at all. You must make sure that when Companion was installed that it insatlled the PDF Exchange Software as a Printer Driver. You DO not need to set it as the Default Printer Driver either. But the right number needs to be there.
