    3. Hi Dot, Your message is a bit too terse to know exactly what is wrong. Firstly, you may be confusing the program with the database. Your PAF program is the software that manages your PAF database. The two are different things. It is most likely that your PAF database has been copied from a CD or some other read-only device. If it has every been stored on a read-only device, Windows will automatically set the read-only flag in the file properties and the only way it can be set to read-write is for you to turn off the read-only flag. You will have to clear it yourself using Windows. Right click on the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen. Select the Explore option which is the Microsoft Explorer program (not to be confused with the Microsoft Internet Explorer). Then navigate to the file on your hard drive. Right click on the file name to open the file management pop-up box. At the bottom is an option to open the file's Properties window. Select the General tab at the top of the window. At the bottom is a section labelled Attributes with a couple of boxes. Uncheck the Ready-only box and click OK. If you have any further questions, let me know.
