The list of labels provided for parent-child relationships does not include the simple one of step-parent. I have no evidence that the second husband became the legal guardian of his spouse's previous children, nor that he adopted them. He would have simply been a step-parent. However, I would like to add the children to the family so that they will show up on reports, otherwise the children of the previous marriage do not get listed on a family group report of the second marriage.
