    1. RE: [PAF-5] Entering Date Ranges?

    3. The correct way in PAF for entering date ranges is to use From and To, for example: From 1922 to 1943 However, in my view, creating events for "Residence" creates an unnecessary and untidy list of events for any individual - especially as it is generally a whole family that lives at an address - I prefer to keep any residence information against a tagged note for "residence" where a fuller explanation can be given about the house, address, location and who lived there etc. - just because PAF offers "Residence" (along with a lot of other non-event events) does not mean that it is necessarily a good idea to use them. The above approach serves to emphasise the adoptability of PAF to each of our preferences. What's the conventional wisdom for entering date ranges for consecutive mutually-exclusive events in PAF5? I have information that an individual lived at a particular location from estimated 1922 to a verifiable 1943, but no information where he went after that. Normally I'd enter "Est 1922" for the first Residence, and 1934 for the second Residence, but I have no second Residence so hesitate to create a second entry. When I enter "1922/1943" in the first Residence, PAF complains "Dual dates exceed 10 years". Thoughts? Suggestions?
