Hello List... I have deleted 15 individuals from my PAF file . When I clicked on properties to check to see if my record count was now 15 less, I found that the individuals showed the same total as before and the column "deleted Records" show 15..how do I get the individuals to show the correct total of people in the PAF file 5.2.18.0? Hi Carol. PAF does not offer a feature to do what you are asking. The total record count is the actual number of records that have been created in the database including the ones that have been marked as deleted individuals. The deleted record count is the count of records that is in the list of records that can be used when adding new individuals. PAF will not add new records to the database until it has used up all of the records in the list of those marked as deleted individuals. It is an odd way to display the counts, but then programmers are odd anyway. You can do what you are hoping to do by using the Repair and Compact feature in PAF Insight. This feature will actually remove the unused records and make the counts as you want them to be. Thank you Richard for the ans...I guess if no one takes away my calulator, I will subtract the 'deleted' from the 'total' to get my exact count...ahh, life is full of these little stumbling blocks...
