I am fairly new to PAF5 and have successfully gedcom'd my family's file from Generations to PAF5. My problem: My nephew is very much interested in the family history and I am trying to keep his interest by sending him interesting data which I hope will make him even more interested!!! His problem: He has trouble keeping the lines straight... I just love the Pedigree form..I would like to start with him as primary for 5 generations. Then send two more, etc...he can hook them up when he prints it out. That way I figure he can "see" how it all comes back to him... BUT, I cannot for the life of me get PAF to let me send the pedigree chart by email..I can print it and then scan it and then send email...I have saved 'as is', saved it in my documents, my briefcase, etc...and in the preferences I have chosen to save paf files in my briefcase...but nothing is there! Everything is saved in Zip format and when I open, it is the entire family history!! In fact, I have not been successful in sending anything except the notes which I copy & paste into an email or Word doc. I have unsuccessfully searched PAF help and cannot find the right phase where this problem is addressed! Perhaps it cannot be done.. And I probably am not expressing myself correctly to help!! Thank you for any assistance...or a someplace in the "help" file to guide me to find the right words describing what I want to do... Carol -- No virus found in this outgoing message. File > Print Reports > Print to file (it's a check box on the right-hand side of the dialogue, under the buttons). When you've configured your report, are ready to print, and have selected "Print to file", clicking on the "Print" button will bring up a dialogue asking you where you want to save the report. It will be saved in RTF format (WinWord can open it). Then you can attach it to an e-mail message to your nephew. You're right, it's not the most intuitive of processes. Best, Donna Hrynkiw
