>However, in my view, creating events for "Residence" creates an unnecessary >and untidy list of events for any individual I think using *any* "Other Events" creates an unnecessary and untidy list of events for individuals and for families, such as when print a Family Group Record or a book report. Plus it takes a lot of time, without benefit as I see it, to enter them. I don't use *any* "Other Events." I enter everything in the notes, in narrative form, and in chronological order. Then when I print a book, it is in good narrative form, ready to go. . Joan Lowrey
Someone earlier suggested that "other events" would NOT print if the box was unchecked. This may be true for printing FGR but does NOT work when printing "Places sorted alphabetically". My box is unchecked. Any other suggestions? I agree about "other events." A cousin sent me his part of the family and I imported it into mine not realizing that he had filled out all the spaces for his family in the "other events" - this sure messed up my locality listing. I also put my misc. "other events" in my notes. Marti
