PAF Insight works like a "plug-in" to PAF to give you the ability to do several highly useful tasks. When you install Insight, it adds itself to the Tools menu. When you select the PAF Insight menu choice, it pulls your PAF database into its work area and offers the following features: - Search IGI (A high speed, power searching of the IGI with ranking of search results and the option to merge unique data fields) - Compare and Synch two PAF databases (Identifying differences between two databases and merging of the unique data fields) - Match/Merge (Similar to Match/Merge in PAF except it highlights the differences) - Edit RINs and Pedigrees (Allows you to swap RINs between people and to identify disconnected pedigrees.) - Repair & Compact (A more comprehensive repair routine and a means to eliminate unused RINs to reduce space used by unused RINs) All changes to your database made using PAF Insight are queued up in the Insight work area and then applied to your database when you exit Insight provided you click OK.
