If you can, check to see if the German db (there should be an email for the administrator) supports Unicode - if it does, use that option. If not, ask the admin - it might use ANSI - all of those are options with PAF export. If youselect the gedcom radio button Other Gedcom (mid-page) you will get a selection of font options. It doesn't depend so much on what you can export as what the database receiving it can import. You need to match the recipient to make sure all your marks get transferred.
