Alan's idea is a fine idea. In fact, the Silicon Valley Computer Genealogy group is selling 128Mb Flash Drives with PAF 5.2.18 already installed. The price is our cost plus shipping. Check out www.svcomputergenealogy.org or www.svpafug.org If you wish to install PAF on your own flash drive, you will have to do it from a machine that does not already have PAF installed on it because the install program will detect that you already have PAF installed and ask if you want to upgrade or uninstall. Also you should be aware that if you run PAF from your flash drive on a machine that has never had PAF installed, the PAF program will install the entries in the Windows Registry that hold the preferences you want to set. When you unplug your flash drive, those Registry entries are NOT removed and will remain there forever unless someone removes them. As far as I can tell, these entries are benign, but if you set some preferences while you are running, they will be picked up by whoever happens to run PAF on that machine the next time.
