    3. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as I have and perhaps an easy solution. I recently checked a source for my ancestor and found that the citation details, 'Film, Volume and Page Number' as well as the 'Date record was made' had transferred from the previous source. In this case the 1901 Canada Census. Upon checking other entries, I found several similar problems and now have the task of manually checking each entry. Thankfully mine is a small database of a under 1300 people. Still..........! Thanks in advance Rollei

Hello Rollei, I had a problem similar to your one: Additional information to a source of person "a" wa copied to *another* source of person "b". My try to correct this problem was as follows: - Correct person "b", i.e. remove the erroneous information. - Export the complete database to Gedcom. - Import the Gedcom to a new database. - Compare the two databases using PAF Insight. The new database had the *same error*. I'm not a Gedcom specialist and for this reason unable to correct a possibly wrong Gedcom syntax. -- Nikolaus (Ordemann) http://privat.genealogy.net/ordemann Die genealogische Ordemann-Homepage The (German language) genealogical Ordemann homepage
