    3. For many years I have used Ctrl n in the following fashion, to create Notes for a specific record and relating to a specific heading. While in the Edit Individual window for a record, hold down the Alt key and select "n" to open another window, "Select Notes". In this window one has the ability of adding (or editing) a note relating to one or the other of the headings listed, Biography, Birth, Christening, Death, Burial or Marriage for that record. When you click on either heading it will open a window to be able to input the data for that specific heading. One will not see the heading but it will be included, along with the note, when printing a Chart or Report. Recently at one of our UserGroup meetings a few persons indicated they do not see those headings when they use Alt n. I suspect that the reason is caused by a necessary change to the Preferences, but can't find out what causes the differences on my computer vs those of the other persons. Any suggestions????? 3. The default is to NOT see the notes selector that you are talking about. You have changed the setting from the default. That's why others don't see it. That behavior is altered by the following setting: 1) Pick 'tools' from the menu. 2) Pick 'preferences' from the menu. 3) Should default to the 'General' tab. 4) On the right there is a group box that says 'Display Notes Selector'. 5) Check the 'From edit individual'. Now you will see the notes selection box you are talking about. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ross G.H. Thanks Mary, (one of the PAF group members) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ross G.H.
