WA Davis I would like to discuss this subject further with you since I am unable to find the registry that you describe for PAF 5. You say: "The generic tags are stored in the registry at "My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LDS Church\FamilySearch\Personal Ancestral File 5\Note Tags". " Am I to understand the the various Tag designations, ie. (MARRIAGE: or TO-DO:), or any other tag that I decide to add in the "Select Notes" window, I use on my PAF5 program are stored in that location? 1) Does that include that actual verbiage that I insert as a Note, or just the designation? 2) In your suggestion you don't identify if there is a necessity to select a Drive. Am I to assume that after I select My Computer, that I then select Drive C? If that is correct, I can't find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" Also I can't find the rest of the words in the string. I do know that in my case the various files for my PAF5 program are stored in Drive C\Program Files\FamilySearch\Paf5. None of the program files shown at this location are designated "Note Tags". In addition I have elected to separate my data from the program files so have created a separate file for the PAF5-data in Drive D, so that I won't lose the data, in case of a computer crash. I would be interested in your response, either on the list or separately.
