Gaylon: 1. Does PAFWiz 2.0 integrate into PAF 5.2 or do you open the program separately to use it's features? 2. Does PAFWiz 2.0 work with Windows 98 & Windows 98SE as well as XP and Vista? We have 2 machines on a network one using XP and the other 98SE with the database stored on the XP machine. We enter/edit data etc from both machines. 3. Can you add/edit database from within PAFWiz 2.0? Regards, Larry ***** : Paul: : : You can use either Ancestral Quest or PAFWiz to compare two PAF : databases. You would go to the Tools menu, then to the "Compare/Merge : Databases" option. : : Gaylon Findlay : Incline Software : : : [email protected] wrote: : : Is there a way to compare PAF5 databases to find differences? Larry: 1) PAFWiz 2 will show up on the PAF 5.2 "Tools" menu. But when you run it, it will require you to close the database in PAF so that PAF won't interfere with it while it is running. 2) Currently, PAFWiz 2 runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It won't run on the 95/98/ME series of Windows. 3) Yes. PAFWiz will let you edit your PAF database. It will also let you add some things to the PAF data file that you can't see in PAF 5, such as To Do Items (for research), DNA test results, etc. It can let you create a research log right in your PAF data file.
