Mark Are you exporting a gedcom from PAF that will be used as another file in PAF? If you are, click on PAF 5, as you did. When you clicked on the All button, then on "Export" you should see the screen Export File As, On this screen, you must give your GEDCOM file a name, and tell it where you want the file saved. WHen you go to create a new file to open the GEDCOM into, you must click on IMPORT, either on the tool bar, or from "File>Import." This will lead you through the steps of creating a new file. When you have finished creating the new file, click on Import, and find the file you created, click on it, and it should open into your newly created file. Good luck. At the bottom I select all individuals and click on export. A window opens and closes with a great speed showing that info colected and then a window opens "export file as" - I click on save in desktop, click on new file, and then on export ?and nothing happens. I find the new file on my desktop but with nothing in it. Lois and Mark, Right, my mistake, you can use "PAF 5" as the export type. (or you can use GEDCOM 5.5) As Lois says, it kind of depends on how the GEDCOM is going to be used (and by who) so different options may work better than others depending on that answer.
