    1. Re: [PAF-5] PAF add-ons
    2. Ruth, You list Ancestral Quest but it is not an add-on to PAF. It is a full genealogical program like PAF, RootsMagic, or Legacy. However, that is not my main message. The add-on I would like to tell you about is called "PAF 5 datescanner". This program will scan all the dates in your PAF 5 data file and inform you of all those that are not in the correct format. Most people don't know about this program because it is rather new. It is a shareware program which means you can try it before you buy it. It is available from www.1wbs1589.info. In my opinion, every user of PAF 5 should have this program on their computer. Lorin Lund wrote it and gives it free to family history centers. We have loaded it onto all of our FHC computers and encourage patrons to use it and correct any bad dates before creating a temple submission. I have it on my own computer also.
