I keep my data in a slightly non-standard way that helps me with that task. The pedigree chart can help. In addition, I make the first child in a family the direct relation, rather than all of them in birth order. PAF pings me for this, but I find it a lot easier to go through the database as a result. Not quite what you were looking for, but maybe a technique that you can use. I suspect there is a package that can do that relationship. I think there used to be a GEDCOM display package that had lines between different branches. That may almost be something that would be useful. Unfortunately, I can not find the program on my current system. It was a GEDCOM viewer. I might suggest trying Cyndi's List (http://www.cyndislist.com) to find possible programs under software. You actually might find some current packages on Cyndi's List that will meet the need and I have not even seen yet. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll look into the Gedcom reader. Sandy On 1 Mar 2008 at 17:03, [email protected] wrote: > I keep my data in a slightly non-standard way that helps me with that > task.
