    1. Re: [PAF-5] 5 1/4 Floppy Question ?
    2. Try a local university or other computer store to have the info transferred to a new disk. There are a lot of folks around with older systems that can read a 5 1/4 disk. It is just a matter of finding someone that has the equipment. Many folks have old computers sitting around that can do that. Typically those of us that have them don't use them much, but they are still in our places. You might post an inquiry at a local computer store, university, or FHC. Some would likely do the transfer for free, others for a small cost. However, there may be a question of the existance of data still on the disk. It may be corrupt at this point. You will just have to try and see what is there. Not much help I guess. Just do not assume everyone has trashed their older machines because everyone you know buys new, upgrades to VISTA, and disposes of old machines. (Note, I said dispose, not throw away. This is a small push to all to properly dispose of old electronics and not put it in the landfill to be toxic to the environment.)
