    3. Challenged Relationship I have used this on several instances where there are differing opinions about the correct parents, and I haven't yet been able to come up with strong documentation of the correct parents. I use "challenged" to alert me and others that parentage hasn't yet been adequately documented. The rationale for the "challenge" I put in notes for that person. Tom in SLC

    2. I have no clue what happened to the body of the message. Anyway, Challenged is an option under the Parent links (right click on an individual and select edit parent links). You can add a link to parent (father or mother - new or find existing) or to a parent set with the find. If you highlight a parent set (or parent), you can then select whether they are biological, adopted, guardian, challenged, or disproved. The implication and apparently the use of the latter two are when the relationship has been challenged or disproved, particularly legally. In that case, adding a note is probably appropriate. Hope that clarifies the question that was asked and sorry for the blank post (have no idea how that happened!). Bill

    1. [PAF-5] Notes for a Marriage
    2. Ross G.H. Cotton
    3. I have a problem with PAF 5 that I have never been able to solve, even though I have used PAF for over 20 years and don't want to change. This problem will, I think, really test your knowledge of PAF? When I want to enter a Note for a record, with the Edit Individual screen open, I select Alt+n to open the Select Notes screen, then double click on Marriage to open the Edit Notes screen "Marriage: notes for xxx", to input a note relating to that marriage, such as a difference in other records. Whatever I input using this method will print out in a Book, Individual Summary or Family Group Sheet; provided they are preselected in the Options for that printout. However the note is then printed in a location, relating to that one person and not the family. However my problem is with the Family Screen; when I highlight the marriage Box, and right click to select Notes, to open the Edit Notes screen for Marriage of both xxx and yyy. Anything I enter will will NOT print out in a Book. WHY! It will print out in a Family Group Sheet. I have checked and rechecked for any options that I can select to solve the problem, without any luck. Does anybody have a solution? The reason I like to input my marriage notes using the marriage box is because they apply to the marriage of both persons, and not only to one or the other. This problem doesn't occur when I print out a report using PAF Wiz, or Ancestral Quest, using my PAF data. However the title Marriage: does not show?
