    1. Re: [PAF-5] Simple report for a birthplace
    2. Nivard, follow these steps: Open the PAF data file you want to use. Click on "search" in the top menu line. In the drop down menu click on advanced focus filter In the find individual menu select all in the relationship filter box. Click on the select button. They should now all have a chevron in front of their names. Under field filter click on define. Select birth Place. In the next window select matches and enter the place name. Click OK. Click OK. Put a check in the show results only box. All of the individuals in your data file born in that place should now show. Click on the save button and give it a name. You can then retrieve this list by clicking on the retrieve button If you want to print them out in a report you need to create the report first. -----Original Message----- From: Nivard Ovington <ovington1@sky.com> To: paf-5-users@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, Nov 8, 2010 6:22 am Subject: [PAF-5] Simple report for a birthplace Hi all Although I have used PAF for quite a time and have used the preset reports ith it and PAF companion I have used the user defined reports very much Some work with no problem but one is causing me grief I want a simple report that I can search all persons in my database for a iven birth place Could someone give me the steps please Any help appreciated Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) ------------------------------ o unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PAF-5-USERS-request@rootsweb.com ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message
