    3. Kathy: A message like, "Record pointer xx is not the first free" in the Individual section would usually mean that the list of deleted individuals has a problem. I wonder if PAF's check/fix on your particular note error is clobbering part of the list of deleted individuals. I've seen folks with much larger databases. I don't think that the problem is with the 37,000+ names in your file. If you were to run the Database Check/Repair on your file in Ancestral Quest (which will do a check/repair on a PAF file), and you get the same problems, I'd like you to let me know privately about it (gfindlay@ancquest.com), as we can probably get AQ to properly handle this situation, and get your file repaired.
