Bill, Fred and all the others, thank you for the responses. We had a pretty bad electrical storm here and I'm just back on line, and have succeeded in doing the gedcom route. It successfully entered the 9 people from the gedcom into the file I work in. And yes, I will always remember this lesson and not repeat it....hmmmm.
