My principle software is a PAF5,  but I also use AQ and update when available. Before I install the latest AQ update I wish to backup my current file as suggested. But I find that each backup I make is "read only".   I have been checking my previous backups (both PAF5 and AQ)  on my 4 flash drives. Unfortunately it seems that most of them have been "read only".    My PAF file is saved periodically on my husband's computer by using a flash drive and the Restore button. I just checked it and was able to add information as is normal.   The Help button has not answered my problem.
