I have once or twice gotten rid of the obvious problem (the error message) by unlinking the couple from the rest of the tree, then re-entering the same info in new records. DON'T delete the two records yet! A sysanalyst I know says that often a simple typo (hitting the ctl or alt or apple/window key) will cause pointer errors. And those are invisible to the user, only the machine sees them. I don't usually find that check/repair works on these. Cheryl
