    3. As indicated by others, I would copy the database and/or backup the database. Then delete the 2 individuals and there marriage. Then do the repair. After completion, reenter the information for these 2 individuals. You might consider making a GEDCOM for these 2 folks so their information is saved elsewhere before you start playing with the database. In fact, you may be able to just import the GEDCOM after deletion and repair to fix the problem. That's what is so odd, after doing all the steps, deleting them, etc., when I reentered them and cut and pasted stuff into the their notes (the same info I had tried earlier), I got the same error again. They are okay now that I typed the info into their notes. K

    2. It is very likely that you copied information that had some format characters included and was not pure text. These hidden characters may have been the problem. If you are going to copy, you might copy to Notepad first and look for any strange characters and delete them. Then copy from Notepad to PAF 5. It may be that saving to a GEDCOM would have deleted these characters too, or at least made them visible when viewed with a text editor. That's what I did - copied to Notepad and then to PAF, and it's always worked before. I double checked, and there was nothing odd at all. Kathy
