You can use Paf 5 from your USB storage device if you want, pstart is the loader. If you search this archive paf-5 list then you will see loads of information on how this works. But if you download and run the paf program from scratch on C:\ then it won't work from the USB storage device. Some people have not been able to run paf on Win 7. Some have the notice come up not responding if you leave it long enough it will sort it's self out. If your son has just built a PC I'm sure he can sort out any problems, that may arise. I was hoping that if I just download the fresh unused version of PAF5, I could then export or import the information in my tree from my thumbdrive to the C drive. All of this is making my head swim.
