Use the icon in the START>Programs menu to start PAF. As an alternative, open Windows Explorer and go to the familysearch folder (typically in the Program Files folder) and find the PAF5.exe file, then select and run it. That should open PAF. If that does not work, then you need to either repair or reinstall the PAF program. You can also right click on a PAF data file and select OPEN With, selecting PAF5 as the default program. It may be that your file associations in Windows got messed up, particularly if you have been playing around with some other genealogy programs to try them out.
