    3. Thank you for your reply Lynn much appreciated I do not use temple codes so thats not a problem I have already tried Legacy and the Roots Magic (and just about every other family tree software at some time or another) I used GSP Family tree for several years and then tried PAF a few years back and liked it better as there were better (but not over fancy) facilities PAF had more going for it than GSP as I don't think GSP even had a sources field then, the only one thing I missed was a drop down chart but most things I am happy with PAF Over time I road tested most of the family tree softwares and frankly found them either garish, over complex or just simply didn't like them so have remained with PAF I had hoped the answer would be as you have stated so will I think give it a try at least I feel sure I tried Gencharts as well but didn't find a good use for it but maybe it was a different program, I can't recall Thanks again for the information, appreciated Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi Nivard, > While I won't try to answer all of your questions I can set your mind at ease about your PAF data > file. I too am a long time user of PAF. I am also a long time user of AQ. I started using PAF > at version 2.0. It was a DOS program and continued to be a DOS program up through version 4. Notice I said convert not import. The AQ data file is completely separate from > your PAF data file. I stilll maintain both PAF and AQ on my computer. One thing I really like > about AQ over the other programs available is that the reports look just like the PAF reports I am > used to.
