I have been using New Family Search for a while now, and I am not LDS. I wasn't aware of doing anything special to get access. What is available are assorted state and Census records (some states are excellent but others don't have much yet) and international records that I have not looked at. If there are LDS specific sections I have not seen those. The site (or my computer) has been tempermental; sometimes it works and sometimes it freezes, and every so often I get a message that a script on the page is making Windows run slowly. I expect the bugs to be fixed before too long, and I know my slow dial-up internet doesn't help. Elaine Thanks Sue for your response. I guess in time non members will know when it becomes available for them. Maureen > Could someone please advise if non LDS members now have access to New Family Search records. I have just added Ancestral Quest 12.1 to my PAF5.2 software on computer. Many thanks. Maureen > FS has started a beta test with up to 2000 non-members. It's actually the family tree portion of new FamilySearch that non-LDS have not had access to. This file contains LDS ordinances. As it opened to non-LDS the ordinances will not be available to them. All the transcribed and scanned historical records ARE available to everyone.
