I am having great difficulty creating a gedcom file for some unknown reason or I am missing something in the process. These are the steps I have taken:- File - Export - Partial - Select. Create a focus - Export. Select drive and folder to save gedcom file. Type the name for the file. That all works well, but when I click on Export, nothing happens. What happens when you just create a normal gedcom? When you name the file, are you removing the asterisk before .ged? You have to remove it before you name the file.
