I am wanting to print a Ahnentafel Ancestry Book with my Photos attached only the photos are not there when I open this Ahnentafel Book. It shows them when I preview this Book. What am I doing wrong. Donna, I have no problem doing this but then I use Word97, which was the version of Word that was current when the Windows version of PAF was created. A friend with a recent version of MS Office got so frustrated with his computer that he brought a copy of his PAF database and photos to my house, where the job was quickly accomplished. If you bring your data and photos to a FHC or a friend's house you may have more success. Hmm... I thought maybe associating .RTF files with the free OpenOffice would cause the book to open in that word processor, but it still opened in Word97. Then I tried my brand new laptop, that has OpenOffice instead of MS Office97. The Preview loked fine, but the RTF version was missing the photos. So I changed the default printer to one of the free PDF writers ("PDF Creator"), and removed the checkmark from "Print to File", and had a perfect result! So I suggest that you install PDF Creator and set it as your default printer, and print to it. See if that will give the results you need. Bill Buchanan Thanks so much. I have a copy of Word97 I could install but not sure if it would work on this computer with Word 2003. I could make the change but afraid. I will try changing my default printer to PDF Creator . Question??? Do I have to change my printer back to my HP Printer when through with this project.? Appreciate any help.
