Hi all - I am searching for others who might be researching the family of Arthur DENNIS (b. 1768 MA - d. 1744 PA, son of Arthur & Mary Goodhue DENNIS) & Lucy BURNHAM (b. 1774 NH - d. 1854 OH, dau. of Nathaniel & Mary BURNHAM) who are both buried in the Dunn Valley Cem., McKean Twp, Erie Co, PA. This family moved from Wayne Co, NY to Erie Co, PA circa 1832 or just before. Their son John DENNIS (chr. 1793 Ipswich, MA) m. Malinda _______ (b. abt 1801 MA) and had children: 1. Hiram DENNIS (b. 1820 Wayne Co, NY - d. 1899 Adams Co, IA) who m. 1843 PA to Mary Ann McKINLEY (b. abt 1825 PA - d. 1874, possibly the dau of Thomas & Jane McKINLEY of Erie Co, PA? She did have a bro. named John McKINLEY b. abt 1823 who m. Arvilla and they had Thomas C. & Hiram D. McKINLEY living in IL in 1860 Census) (this family was in Perrysburg, Wood Co, OH in 1850 Census; Prophetstown, Whiteside Co, IL in 1860 Cenus) 2. a female name not known (b. abt 1820 to 1825) 3. John DENNIS (b. Mar 1822 NY) 4. Tobias H. DENNIS (b. May 1824) m. Sophia _______ (in Springfield Twp, Williams Co, OH in 1850 Census) 5. Spellman DENNIS (b. Mar 1825 NY - d. 1886 Bronson, Branch Co, MI) m. Emeline _____ 6. Malinda DENNIS (b. abt 1829 NY) 7. Nelson DENNIS (b. abt 1831 Erie Co, PA) 8. William DENNIS (b. abt 1834 Erie Co., PA) m. Jane ______ 9. George DENNIS (b. abt 1836 Erie Co, PA) 10. Cyrenius DENNIS (b. 1839 Erie Co., PA - d. 1926 Canada) John DENNIS's family was in Sylvania Twp, Lucas Co, OH in the 1850 census, but have lost him after that? 1850 US Census: Sylvania Tp, Lucas Co, OH, pg 111- Line 10/ 1599/ 1625 DENNIS, John / 35 yr/ M/ Farmer/ b. Mass Melinda/ 49 yr/ F/ b. Mass Nelson/ 19 yr/ M/ Farmer/ b. Penn William/ 17 yr/ M/ Farmer/ b. Penn George/ 15 yr/ M/ none/ b. Penn Cyrenius/ 11 yr/ M/ b. Penn Spelman/ 24 yr/ M/ Stage Driver/ b. NY Arthur DENNIS & Lucy BURNHAM's dau, Fanny DENNIS (b. 1803 ME - d. 1880 OH) , was the second wife of Solomon DROWN (son of John) and with him had 10 children.
