In doing some online searching, I've found that there is a Stafford burial plot in McKean Twp, and that in it are a Jonas Stafford, b. abt. 29 Jan 1774, d. 31 Jul 1852, and his second wife, Amy Slater. Jonas was also married to Alma Park (this is according to a couple of websites with no real substantial proof). At the Golden Cemetery, McKean Twp, there is also a John Stafford, b. abt. 10 Oct 1785, d. 22 Jan 1863, and his wife, Eleanor, b. abt. 24 Jan 1792, d. 24 Jul 1864. I'm wondering if either of these couples could be the parents of Joab Stafford? They seem to have been of parenting age at approximately the right times, and in the right place if Joab is from McKean Twp... I couldn't find anything to rule either couple either in or out. I'm probably barking up the wrong family trees. Geoff
