    3. Hi Steve and listers, The newest updates to the Barton Family DNA Project are in at the site below. I thought I had been in touch with you; I guess there's too much going on. Again, my apologies.. Ron's results were slow in coming out, and only recently came available. Go to our Family History page and scroll down to Modal Haplotype 6. http://www.bartonsite.org/family_history.html You'll see your line near the end of the MH6 families. If you click on the MH6 blue banner, you should see the DNA chart with all of the numbers. (However, B-3 and B-33 aren't there yet. I'll arrange to get them added. The results just came out last week and we've been busy.) Ron's results will look exactly like B-2, B-8, B-11, B-19, B-20, B-21. Ron, like 8 of the 10 DNA2 participants in the MH6 group, had no mutations. (All these men have exactly the same DNA results) The ones with any mutations at all in MH6 are B-4, B-33 and SC44.48. I don't know whether the 3 with mutations have any significance or not. It may take 20-30 results in the MH6 family to show us. Your search should focus very strongly on all of the known descendant lines of Roger Barton. However, it is possible that your link to a common ancestor with the "Roger" line goes back across the water to England. It could theoretically go all the way back to the 1100s when last names first began, but it is likely closer to the 1600s. I sent my brothers DNA in almost 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Is there any way to see what the status is at relative genetics??? Donna Merrill
