Greetings, I'm looking for any info. on the families of VAN SICKLE (VANSICKLE, SICKLE etc.), TURNER, GRIFFITHS, CARNEY (CHANCY, CHARNCY etc.) MISENER and ROSEBRUGH (ROSEBOROUGH etc.) in the Erie area in the early 1800's. I have record of a Mr. Turner and his wife Jane and family and Mr. Griffiths and his wife Sarah and family travelled to the Erie area in the early 1800's (between 1804 and 1814 approx.) to possibly live with relatives on a farm. They were listed as being in a house fire and 'may' have perished. I have no record of them after this. I searched for record of fires and have checked online for cemetaries in the ares. They seemed to have disappeared. They started out in NJ and moved to Jerseyville, Ontario in 1800 with their families. This is where Jane and Sarah (nee: Rosebrugh) were married to Mr. Turner and Mr. Griffiths. Their family left behind in Jerseyville, Ontario, stayed here for many years. Thanks for any info. Regards, Deborah
