Hello fellow listers! First of all, please excuse the duplicate postings to the lists. I just want to make sure that I get in touch with everyone I possibly can. I am looking for information on the KEEP family of Erie County, PA. I have a family tree book copyright 1899, Chicago, IL compiled by Frank E. Best. The title of the book is 'John KEEP of Longmeadow, Massachusetts 1660 - 1676 and his Descendants'. The book incorporates an unpublished KEEP genealogy prepared by W. J. KEEP in 1866 and a record of ancestry by Helen E. KEEP and the extended ancestry of Sallie KEEP BEST. I was told that there was another book, published much later about the KEEP family. I wrote to the publisher, (Heart of the Lakes Publishing) and they told me to contact the KEEP Family Society. I've not been able to locate this organization and was wondering if anyone could help me. I would love to have a copy of this book as I'm directly descended from Theda Malvina KEEP, daughter of Daniel Brush KEEP. Theda is my great-great grandmother. Theda was born in Keepville, Erie County, PA February 3, 1855. Is Keepville still a 'town' in Erie County? What cemeteries are there in that area? Could there possibly be a family plot there? Can anyone give me any information on Keepville, the KEEP family or getting a copy of the latest KEEP genealogy? If there are any cousins out there, I'd love to be in touch with you.
