I am looking for Retha/Wretha Webb McClure Benson. She was born April 16, 1877 in Clarion Co., PA to James and Mary Ann Rowe WEBB. James went out to Colorado to mine and Mary Ann died in 1878. An unknown family in Waterford area was to have taken and raised her after the death of her mother. I would like to find out who the family was that raised her and more about her and her children. She was a sister to my ancestor Samuel WEBB. Samuel and their brother George were raised by their Uncle & Aunt - Joseph Newton and Elizabeth Jane Webb BUZZA down in Kossuth, Clarion Co., PA. It has been stated that the family who raised her were related to us also. It has been a mystery that I would like to find out about. Retha was 1st m. to R. McClure and 2nd to Doug Benson I think. She died March 31, 1919 and I would like to find an obit for her. I have a photo of a lady that was taken from a photographer in Waterford. No name on it for who she was. The photographer was HOOPER. Would anyone know when he would have been in business in Waterford? I feel that it may be Retha's photo but am not sure. The photo was in the possession of my ancestor Samuel Webb's wife when she died in 1940, so that is why I am wondering if it could be Retha. Thanks, Betty Macdonald
