Happy New Year to Everyone, This is my first posting to Erie. I’m doing some research for a family member. His mother Edna HUNT was born in Erie in 1908. She is living with her parents Harry and Lillian and step brother Brady HANEY. I’m not sure how long the family lived in Erie, another daughter Irene was born to Harry and Lillian in 1913. In 1915 the couple divorced and the children were supposedly either taken or placed in an orphanage. I don’t have access to the 1900 or 1920 census but could someone tell me how they’re searched. Soundexed by township? Or can I use ancestry at the library and do just a name search? I’ll be going on Monday and would like to know the easiest way to find Harry HUNT? All Hunts and Haneys were born in PA but I only know that Edna was born in Erie. Are marriage license accessible?
