Addition to the message. WILLIAM HOWARD ARMSTRONG was born Sept 7, 1825. The date that MARTIN ARMSTRONG'S wife died was probably that year, as I think WILLIAM was a baby when left with the JONES in Erie County, PA. His wife's name is unknown. WILLIAM HOWARD, grew up in Erie County and married a SALLY JEAN OR JEANNIE BLODGETT. All there children were born and raised in Erie County. He came across Lake Erie and landed at Orchard Beach. He had 3 older sons, CHARLES ARMSTRONG who possibly went to Virginia about 1850, and was a lawyer. Another J.H. ARMSTRONG who died in Lebanon Tenn. The 3rd older son M.N. ARMSTRONG was in Port Huron Michigan, was married in 1857 and possibly had a son in 1860. The youngest son of Martin, his name was WILLIAM HOWARD ARMSTRONG was born in North East, Erie Cnty, PA. Apparently Martin's wife died after he was born, and MARTIN ARMSTRONG went to Port Clinton, Ohio, taking the 3 older sons with him and leaving the youngest with a Family named JONES, in Erie County, PA.
