Good evening List, I did some experimenting today and have successfully built an "in-house" cemetery photo album for St. Nicholas Cemetery on Old French Road in Millcreek Township. This album is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~paerie/cemeteries/StNicholas.htm and can also be reached from the cemetery index page, and from the Millcreek Township page. Now that I have figured out how to create small index pictures, I will probably be creating more of these types of pages. Part of the reason for doing this, is that I have heard talk (saw a message) that Zing may be converting over to a subscription format which will probably leave existing albums in place, but may not allow additional updates to them. I have placed a query with Zing about this, but have not heard anything further. More news. Rootsweb has apparently managed to temporarily misplace about 600 biographies that were uploaded to the GenConnect biographies board during February. I do know that our count was 1069 on 21 Feb 01 as I captured a snapshot of the entire index on that day. There is a notice on the GenConnect boards that indicate they are in the process of recovering these messages, so for Gaylene's sake (who posted most of them), lets hope they can recover them all. As I said, I do have a snapshot of the index. Tomorrow is March 1st. Hopefully it will come in like a lion.
