Barbara, I am also posting this to the list since there may be others who would like to obtain their ancestors' naturalization papers. The process is very simple. You can write, call or visit the Erie Co. Courthouse. Naturalization records are available for 1825-1940. I don't remember exactly what it cost, but when I visited there last summer, I obtained the records for 3 or 4 of my husband's ancestors and the *total* cost was something less than $10. The lady who works in the naturalization records is extremely helpful and very good:-) It took only a few minutes for her to locate and copy all the records I requested.
