It still is - in the COUNTY of Erie <smile>. It's a few miles NE of Ashtabula, OH, sort of between Cranesville and Albion, near the lake. I'm sure you can find it on Mapquest.com or other online map services. Try http://city.state-pa.us/Erie-County/Lundys-Lane or the great USGS site at geonames.usgs.gov/gnisform.html --- Cairn619@aol.com wrote: > Hi, > Does anyone know where Lundys Lane was located. > It was in the city of Erie. > My relatives are located there in the 1870 > census. > Thank you, > Mary > > > ==== PAERIE Mailing List ==== > Welcome to the PA-Erie Mailing List > To leave PAERIE-L, send mail to > PAERIE-L-request@rootsweb.com with the single > word unsubscribe in the message subject and > body. If I'm not mistaken, isn't Lundy's Lane also known as Wellsburg? In Elk Creek Township. At least they are so close together as to be indistinguishable. I'm not a local, but have some "maybe" ancestors buried in the Hope Cemetery, located just north of Hwy 6. Wellsburg is given as an alternate or "variant" name for Lundys Lane by GNIS. --- "Parry, Dan (personal) (E-mail)" <welshmn@earthlink.net> wrote: > If I'm not mistaken, isn't Lundy's Lane also > known as Wellsburg?
