Thanks to Ron Smith, we now have some great added scanned post cards (actually I think Ron digitally photographed them) at http://www.zing.com/album/pictures.html?id=4293143207 . Included are 'old time' pictures of the high schools. One is not labeled and I think it might be the original Cathedral Prep, please provide information if you are sure, or if I have a wrong caption. I have also extracted (blown up) the portion of the GCMurphy picture showing 926 State and added the comments previously submitted by Joe Schmitt. There are several other pictures submitted by Ron that I haven't got to yet, along with some people pics that I have to work on next. The rest of ths weekend will probably be spent on a second pass through a 'genealogy treasure box' that I found at my parent's house on Thursday. My late German grandmother who died in 1988 two months short of her 100th birthday had saved almost every greeting card ever sent to her by family members and a lot of family letters and notes, including some old ones from Germany. This is my father's side of the family for which I have been severely lacking genealogical information. This box was literally buried in what has become the junk room at my parents house, that is boxes of stuff go in, but never seem to come back out! As this is a needed downstairs bedroom if my parents should get to the point of not being able to climb stairs, I am helping my Mom clean it, and able to find 'treasure' at the same time.
