Hi Teresa, This isn't the answer to your question to the Erie Co List, but you may want to know the following information if you don't already have it: I found a record, of Mary Alice Souther's marriage to Henry Carter on 8 Feb 1891 in Saline County Illinois, at the Illinois State Archives website http://www.sos.state.il.us/depts/archives/database.html : CARTER, HENRY SOUTHER, M A (BK A-1 PG 189) SALINE 02/08/1891 C/ 115 But I did not see a record of a marriage between Mary Alice Souther or Mary Alice Carter to a Mr. Andrew Jackson. The Illinois State Archives marriage index only covers up to the year 1900 or so, Perhaps she married Mr. Jackson in Texas. However, in trying to cover all possibilities for the 2nd marriage of Mary Alice to Mr. Jackson, I did find the following: JACKSON, ANDREW A CARTER, THRESA ANN (BK C PG 242) SALINE 08/03/1893 A 1/ 235 Then, just to confuse the issue, I found the following, also in Saline Co.
