    3. Hello Erie County Researchers, Two major major features have been added to the Erie Co (PA) Genealogy website this past week. Earlier in the week, I added eight pages of material concerning the Fairview Cemetery Burial Listings. One page serves as an index, and the actual burial listings take up seven web pages. I am not sure of the actual number of names, but the introduction notes that there were 3800 burials from the start of the cemetery until the end of 1982. These listings are a shortened format of material published in the book "Burials in Fairview Cemetery". The listings have been provided for posting on the web site by Joan Mink of the Fairview Area Historical Society, through Rich Biondi, our Fairview Township Coordinator. On Thursday, I finished posting a major article written and submitted by Beth Simmons, our Harbor Creek Township Coordinator. This article, "Rees' Pieces", has been split into five parts for posting on the website. Beth wrote this feature in 1999 (or before), and it was originally published as a series of articles in the Tri-Community News. It will also be featured in a commemorative booklet as a part of Harbor Creek's Bicentennial. Included within the five parts of the article are just about every name associated with the early days of Harbor Creek Township. At least ten other pages have been added since the 1st of March, including three from our steady contributor, Evelyn Baker, and several from first time contributors. Please see the What's New page for all of the recent changes. The website homepage recorded 204 visitors on 3/4. This was the day after the Erie Times-News article about my work with the site. We normally average 75 to 90 visits per day. I guess a little advertising doesn't hurt.
