In my local library I just found yesterday a reference for the surname I am researching that appears to have had a bio write up. The reference given was "Erie County History by Reed ", and I wonder if anyone has a copy of that and could look up my surname to see whether this was a long bio or a passing mention. ---Richard

Richard, My Reed ancestor, David Reed, listed his address as a man Erie County when he purchased land in Belmont County, Ohio, in 1803. I am not sure if he had been there a long time, or just passing through. Since early Erie records are very scarce, I've never found anything on him. His mother was an Elizabeth, but know very little about her husband or her parents, do have some evidence, but nothing documented.
